TerraScrub's walk-behind lineup runs from the small BA430 to the heavy-duty BA860, and on paper the middle models look almost identical — same 530mm brush path, similar coverage rates, same basic design. So how do you choose? The differences are in the details: tank size, battery capacity, traction, and the floor area the machine is built for. This guide compares the five models with their actual specs and walks through which one fits retail spaces, medium warehouses, and large industrial floors.
| Model | Brush path | Coverage | Tanks (clean/recovery) | Power | Best for |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| BA430 | 430 mm | 1,500 m²/h | 28 L / 30 L | Battery or corded | Tight spaces, small retail, schools |
| BA530 | 530 mm | 2,100 m²/h | 50 L / 55 L | Battery or corded | Supermarkets, offices, light warehouses |
| BA680 | 530 mm | 2,200 m²/h | 68 L / 70 L | Battery (100 Ah); BA690BT adds traction | Small to medium commercial |
| BA730 | 530 mm | 2,200 m²/h | 65 L / 75 L | Battery (120 Ah), real-time charge display | Medium supermarkets, offices, warehouses |
| BA860 | 860 mm (dual brush) | 4,200 m²/h | 95 L / 105 L | Battery (200 Ah), self-propelled | Large warehouses, plants, distribution centers |
BA530, BA680, and BA730 all clean at 530mm with similar coverage, so the real differences are runtime and convenience:
If you're comparing specs across the whole range, our full model spec table puts every TerraScrub machine side by side.
The BA430 exists for one reason: places where the bigger machines physically don't fit. Its 100cm body and 430mm brush path get through standard doorways and around tight aisles that a 530mm machine can't manage. If your space is a small shop, school, or clinic with narrow corridors, the BA430 is the machine — not because it's cheapest, but because it fits. It also comes in a corded version, which suits small areas with easy outlet access.

The BA860 is a different animal. With an 860mm dual-brush path, it covers 4,200 m²/h — double the 530mm models — and its 200Ah battery and 95L/105L tanks are built for a full shift on large floors. It's also self-propelled, which matters when you're pushing hundreds of kilograms across a warehouse floor for hours. If you're cleaning 10,000 m² or more per shift and want a walk-behind instead of a ride-on, the BA860 is the one. The BA660BT version offers the same design at a 660mm width for floors that fall in between.

BA430 and BA530 each come in battery and corded versions; BA680, BA730, and BA860 are battery models. Battery gives you freedom to clean anywhere and is the right choice for most warehouses. Corded makes sense in small, fixed areas where outlets are everywhere and you'd rather skip battery care entirely. Whatever you choose, the charging routine matters — our battery charging guide covers how to keep the pack healthy.
The BA530 is the standard pick for a medium supermarket — wide enough to clean fast, compact enough for aisles. Larger stores with bigger open areas can step up to the BA680 or BA730 for fewer refills and longer runtime.
Both clean at 530mm with similar coverage. The BA730 has a larger 120Ah battery with a real-time charge display, while the BA680 has bigger tanks (68L/70L) and a stronger brush motor. If shift length matters, take the BA730; if refill stops annoy you more, take the BA680.
It's made for warehouses. The 860mm path, self-propelled drive, and 200Ah battery suit floors of 10,000 m² or more per shift. For smaller floors, the 530mm models are easier to maneuver.
Work backward from your area and cleaning frequency: the math in our warehouse sizing guide tells you the coverage you need, and our size chart shows where walk-behinds stop making sense versus ride-ons.
The TerraScrub walk-behind range is really four decisions: tight space (BA430), balanced medium duty (BA530), longer runs with bigger tanks or battery (BA680 / BA730), and large industrial floors where you want double the coverage and self-propulsion (BA860). Match the machine to the floor area and shift length, and the specs stop being confusing. If a ride-on starts to look better than pushing anything across the floor, the A7 is where the lineup continues, and our cost guide helps with the budget side of the decision.
